Colorado 4x4 Rescue and Recovery Mission Locations

This map shows the location of all of our missions. Recoveries and extractions are shown, and logos for both RnR and SAR-ES are used to differentiate between teams. A short description and photos may be included.

The intention of this map is to make people aware of problem areas and to encourage all to be prepared and knowledgable of these trails prior to traveling them.

Colorado 4x4 Rescue and Recovery LIVE Team Tracking

Colorado 4x4 Rescue and Recovery utilizes amateur radio and APRS for team communications and tracking. The following map shows many of our team members, as seen on APRS.fi. APRS allows for vehicle tracking, telemetry data reporting and most importantly two way messaging between our teams, each other, and dispatch.

Recovery Stories and Albums

We always strive for excellence when it comes to helping people in the back country and that is not possible without our volunteers.  It is because of them that we have the reputation that we do and the ability to help the volume of individuals that need it.  During the 2017 year we performed numerous recoveries and many times we would get some of the same individuals volunteering to go out when the need arose.  One member inparticular we had to TELL not ask to take some time off, as it seemed he was going out 4-5 times a week for a while to help others in need.  While this is a great thing and this member chose to do this out of the sheer kindness of his heart for helping others in the time of need, we know the importance of time to yourself and with your loved ones.

With that being said click on the image to the right to see some of the recoveries performed in 2017 by one of our VALUED Members, Bryan Lott.
